In this account of Naaman commander of the army of Syria, we see how true salvation cannot be achieved, earned or acquired by possessions, power or our position. Instead it comes through obedience to the word of the Lord.

Jesus commands everyone who believes in Him to be baptised as a sign of our commitment to and belief in Him, so obedience is an act of obedience.
