Sent By The Spirit

This message teaches that Holy Spirit empowers every Christian to be a witness for Jesus, not just overseas missionaries or church leaders. Based on Acts 1:8, it emphasises that mission begins where we are—our homes, workplaces, schools, and communities—but also stretches beyond our comfort zones to reach others. Every believer is “sent” by God to share His love through words, prayer, care, and everyday relationships.
1. Mission starts where you are – Your “Jerusalem” is your everyday life, and God has placed you there intentionally to be a witness.
2. Mission goes beyond comfort zones – Like reaching Samaria, sharing God’s love may mean crossing cultural, social, or personal barriers. Some are called overseas, but everyone has a role.
3. Prayer is mission – Prayer is powerful and essential, helping prepare hearts, strengthen workers, and guide believers in sharing faith.
4. You are sent – You do not need special qualifications to be a missionary; a willing heart and the Holy Spirit are enough.
The overall challenge is to stop seeing ourselves merely as church attenders and instead as people sent by God to bring hope and the gospel wherever we are.
